eandra Duggans is living her best life. She’s never played a down for the Baltimore Ravens, but the Washington, D.C. native is a big part of the organization as manager of advertising and branding.

“I help develop long-term strategy and seasonal marketing plans for all initiatives and events to fuel consumer demand and strengthen the Ravens brand connection with fans,” she said on her website.

Duggans’ journey in sports began at North Carolina State University where she was an intern for the women’s basketball team. She then went to Georgia State University to get her master’s degree. Duggans eventually landed a job as a marketing manager of Events DC back in her home city where she developed marketing opportunities for the city’s large scale sporting events.

Duggans advises those who want to get into the sports industry to be versatile and tenacious.

“It’s about who can grow the business, with social media being a big part of it,” Duggans told Georgia State magazine. “Everything affects the bottom line, there’s not particular skill set that you need, but the perfect skill set to have is to be a problem solver and be able to solve any problem that comes your way, being a critical thinker.”

Duggans helps the Ravens coordinate draft day and kick-off events designed to connect the organization to the community.

“It’s a dream job and I love it,” she said.
